As I am a graphic designer and am very influenced by the style and message of Shepard, I decided to spoof his Giant for one of my own promo stickers to put around my home town of Toronto.
My graphic design company is called FIELD TRIP DESIGNS, and I design under the name JAY TRIPPER. So I mirrored a picture of my face and applied similar effects and replaced OBEY with TRIP…. because I believe a little bit of psychedelia in everyones live will help them sort out what matters and what doesn’t… and it will definitely help them understand my art. There are up to 2,000 up around Toronto and still more coming, and the fact that it reminds people how awesome the OBEY GIANT is just makes it that much more amazing.
