9th anniversary of Guantanamo
We’re coming up on the 9th anniversary of Guantanamo being open, and Witness Against Torture (WAT) is again going to be in DC to protest and hold a vigil to mark the occasion. To raise money to help to pay for food, shelter, and legal fees for the hundreds of people we expect to join us in DC on January 11, WAT is selling some Shepard Fairey designed POW USA posters. Please show your support and purchase a poster today! To get your poster CLICK HERE!
Witness Against Torture (WAT) have been together since 2005, when the first 25 people who formed the organization actually went to Cuba to try to visit the prison. Since then, the organization has attracted thousands of people to its demonstrations and hundreds of organizers have been arrested and put in jail for our nonviolent direct action protests against the policies that Bush and now Obama use to justify keeping Guantanamo open.
