Zach De La Rocha X Ernesto Yerena Print Collabo
We wanted to do our part in getting the word out about extreme injustices going on in some of our neighboring states and help out a couple of friends. Check out the information below and do your part – buy a print!
“To witness what is happening in Arizona and remain neutral is to be implicated in human rights violations that are occurring right here on US soil against migrants. History will not be kind to Joe Arpaio. He will be remembered with other infamous sheriffs like Bull Connor who subjugated and terrorized communities for shortsighted political gain. I hope everyone will join me in protesting Sheriff Joe.”

Guerilla One x The Seventh Letter Collaboration Print
Print is SOLD OUT
OBEY, Guerilla One, and The Seventh Letter have always had a strong long-lasting friendship and creative relationship with numerous collaborations including the late 90’s Free GKAE print, created by Shepard and Casey Zoltan from The Seventh Letter, to raise funds for GKAE’s legal fees.
This current project was created to symbolize both strength in numbers and unity by way of collaboration. The Seventh Letter, Obey Giant, and Guerilla One have all stood individually and collectively as pillars in the graffiti /street art scene both domestically and internationally. Its apparent that the 3 collaborators will continue to support street art by creating new platforms that encourage and inspire many worldwide.
I met Eddie and Casey in the late 90’s around the time I started coming from San Diego to LA to put up posters. Casey’s Seventh Letter Crew had all the best graffiti spots, and Eddie was promoting the scene through his website Guerilla One, and promoting the website through obsessive sticker bombing. I’ve met too many cool people to name through these guys and it is always a pleasure to work with them. I’d say “stay up”, but they need no reminder.

“I have always rolled with G1 and Shepard through thick and thin and will always have their backs forever on a street and professional level”.
– Casey EKLIPS Zoltan, Founder of THE SEVENTH LETTER
“When we started doing graffiti, putting up stickers we had no idea the places it would take us, and no matter where we go from here we will stay loyal to those who have helped us get there.”
– Eddie Donaldson, Founder of Guerilla One
This print is an edition of 450, 18 x 24, $45 and Signed by Shepard. If you can’t get them on OBEY be sure to head over to www.madsociety.com today, 3/11, as a 100 Prints will be available for sale there!

LIVESTRONG x LANCE ARMSTRONG x SHEPARD
Cancer has affected my life like it has millions of others. Both my mom’s sisters died of breast cancer and my mom underwent a double preventative mastectomy because of her genetic predisposition to breast cancer. A good friend of mine, Justin Van Hoy is about to have a bone marrow transplant because of his Leukemia. When Lance Armstrong asked me to participate in his “Stages” art project, and create a mural for the side of the Montalban Theater in Hollywood, I was honored and glad to help the cause. Check out Lance’s foundation at www.livestrong.org.

Help Evoker
I’ve known Evoker since summer ’89 when he was a little kid. He skated and hung out at the Watershed, the surf/skate shop where I worked. He eventually worked there after I had moved on. We’ve stayed in touch over the years trading stickers. He is a good guy and unfortunately lost his apartment and many belongings to fire recently. I will be donating a piece of art to raise money for him. Read about how you can help after the jump.

Boston Dreaming…
I have to return to Boston for court next week and I’m facing charges that have a penalty of up to three years in jail. The allegations are baseless, but the Boston Police somehow were granted the warrants and resources to send ten undercover cops to stake out my exhibition at the ICA and arrest me before my DJ gig on the opening night. Jill Medvedow, the director of the Boston ICA was kind enough to write a thoughtful analysis of the situation. Check it out.
ON A RELATED NOTE… One of the patrons of the Boston ICA asked me to do a mural on HIS fence on HIS house. The neighbors called the police and threatened to stab me with scissors. When the police told the neighbors they could not stop an art installation on private property, the neighbors proceeded to try to peel it down themselves. To me it seems that they decided it was okay for THEM to illegally vandalize private property. They then made a coordinated effort by email to encourage people to protest my ICA show and not renew their ICA memberships. They also conspired with the detective who arrested me to find a way to “stop me”, all based on perfectly legal art I was putting up. Lastly, this neighborhood group sent a summons to the museum patron/owner of the home to force him to appear at a hearing concerning whether he needed to get permission to have art installed on his property(the neighbors did not feel they needed permission to try to peel it down). One of the hilarious justifications for the outrage over the mural the neighbors manufactured was that “when the paper deteriorates it becomes an eye sore”. Of course, they are the ones who made it an eye sore by ripping at it. Barbarians in fur coats are still barbarians.
